Superb apartment in the heart of Akureyri, yet super quiet and private. Spacious, modern, with all the amenities. Most importantly, Hannes could not have been more helpful. Incredibly responsive and helpful, suggesting restaurants, answering questions and always on top of things. Highly recommend!

Hannes' penthouse rental was a wonderful location in Akureyri. Centrally located, top floor so free of noise, spacious especially when compared to other rentals in Iceland. One thing to note is it is on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. And don't be surprised by the sulfuric smelling water in the area -- not the fault of the host I'm sure, but it was very overwhelming at some points. There were some minor cosmetic issues with the location, but Hannes was responsive and knew about some of the problems already. Overall a great spot and is enough room for a larger group (in the 4-8 person range).

The penthouse apartment is so great! total 6 of us love this place a lot. at the centre of the area, convenient, stylish deco.

We had an amazing time at this place. It is a great view overlooking downtown with restaurants and shops within walking distance. We got all of our meals to go so we could sit in the dining space to eat. The host was very responsive and we are already dreaming of coming back!
