Ebony’s place is not recommended. Although the listing states there is a TV and internet connection, in fact there is neither TV nor internet. There is exposed wiring in the living room. While we were there, the upstairs bathroom flooded twice, causing a cascade of water through the ceiling down into the kitchen/living area below, splashing precariously close to the exposed wiring. The beds are not comfortable and there are quite a few mosquitos inside the house, with only one bed having a mosquito net. The area is not close to a supermarket or other shopping. The outdoors area was full of leaves and other debris, all the cushions damp from previous rain, all of which rendered it unusable. Emily is a busy person and there were some lags in communication. Had we known there was no internet or TV we would not have booked. Not recommended.

we loved Ebony's home. the location is excellent - walking distance to the dhow restaurant with amazing sunsets. the flat is neat and has everything you need. Ebony was easy to get hold of and very helpful.

We experienced something of a perfect storm of things going wrong with this stay - the entry key was lost shortly before we arrived, the wifi password was also lost, somebody started doing some really noisy renovating right next door, and then a pump malfunctioned and the water supply dried up. Ebony was out of town with limited connectivity, but she somehow managed to get everything resolved with minimal delay. We were very impressed. She also compensated us for the lack of wifi and for the time spent without water. The house itself was perfect - full of character and charm and in a great location (near Dhow restaurant). The garden is beautifully decorated with lots of comfortable seating, the kitchen is well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. There are two balconies from where one can see the sea in the distance. Fathima came twice a week to do cleaning. We did not have access to off-street parking, but it is an exceptionally safe area so it was fine.
