What a peaceful, quiet and lovely week-end we had in the Shepherd hut! The perfect place for a break from London, in a lovely bucolic scenery. Would absolutely recommend to everyone and we'll definitely be back.

We spent a wonderful weekend in the Shepherd's hut relaxing, going for walks and eating tasty food from the local organic farm shop. Be prepared that there is no electricity or running water in the hut, as is clearly explained in the listing. However, there is a tap just outside, in the corner of the field and the compost loo is right behind the hut. Imagine camping but with many more home comforts and luxuries, and with almost everything you could need very thoughtfully provided (pans, cutlery, crockery, firewood etc). We had such a restful time, and it was fab to get away and to let our phones die for once. Darren was super helpful and gave us some great recommendations for places to walk and things to do. Typically for English summer, it was occasionally pouring and quite chilly, but we stayed warm by the fire and in the comfy bed, and ventured out for some sunny walks when we got the chance. Would absolutely recommend to everyone and we'll definitely be back.

The Shepherds Hut was the perfect place for a much-needed little getaway. Private and peaceful, with a gorgeous little wooded trail just behind. Check in was easy and friendly, amenities just what you need. The hut itself is very cozy, and the surrounding farm is beautiful. We would have happily stayed for much longer if we had the time.
