Every room in this beachfront apartment offers gorgeous views of the Caribbean Sea. Sea Hibiscus was designed to maximize privacy while integrating views of the Caribbean Sea into every room of this contemporary apartment. High ceilings, tile floors and cool concrete walls create a sense of calm and relaxation. Free Wi-Fi throughout the home keeps you connected with the outside world (if you wish) and a bluetooth speaker allows you to play your favorite playlist right from your phone or tablet. Sea Hibiscus is also accessible with an outdoor ramp to the covered front door, wide doorways, and no stairs. LIVING/DINING AREA The open concept living/dining area invites you to relax with comfortable seating that looks out at the beach, an electric fireplace (without heat) to provide that perfect ambiance, and a 65” smart Roku tv. A wooden dining table with chairs offers space for meals or games and can double as a workspace if you choose. Ceiling fans help move the cool breezes through the home and an air conditioner cools the space on those hot days. Three large sliding glass doors offer views of the Caribbean Sea and access to the outdoor covered patio. KITCHEN Open to the living/dining area, the kitchen has everything you will need including a gas stove/oven, microwave, toaster, Cuisinart coffee maker and a blender. Stainless cookware, a wide selection of high-end pots, pans, and kitchen utensils make it easy to cook a meal. There are plenty of plates, bowls, cups, glasses, silverware, and serving pieces to suit your needs. Eat a quick meal at the kitchen counter which includes contemporary comfortable bar stools. BEDROOM The bedroom has a California king bed with medium firm memory foam mattress, air conditioning, 43” smart tv, ceiling fan, and upscale linens. Personal reading lights above each nightstand can be adjusted to suit your preferences. Above the bed is a painting entitled “Clear View” by Honduran artist Jen Irias, which was inspired by the view of Pico Bonito on the mainland as seen from Utila. There is also a custom-made armoire large enough for all your clothes and shoes. A sliding glass door leads to a large outdoor patio furnished with cushioned lounge furniture. An en-suite bathroom features double glass vessel sinks, extra large towels, and a large walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. OUTDOOR LIVING The covered wraparound patio offers private space which is accessible from the living/dining area or the bedroom. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the cushioned lounge furniture or Adirondack chairs, and a wooden table and chairs provides space for outdoor dining. Divers and snorkelers will be excited to explore the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef right in your front yard. Here you can spend your days snorkeling or shore diving without having to go somewhere else. Large fluffy beach towels are provided for your convenience. Airport Dive Caves and many other spectacular dive sites are located near the home. NEED ADDITIONAL SPACE? LOCATION Hibiscus House and the Sea Hibiscus Apartment are located at the east end of the island along Dolphin Run - part of the prestigious Tradewinds community. The town of Utila is easily accessible by a 15-minute walk, but far enough away to enjoy serenity and privacy. There are plenty of tuk tuk drivers (Utila’s Taxis) - many of whom speak English - and the ride to town is only a few dollars. You can practice your Spanish while supporting a local entrepreneur. You also have the option to rent a golf cart or four wheeler for the duration of your stay, which we can arrange through our concierge services. ADDITIONAL AMENITIES Stays of longer than one week include use of a washer and dryer. Your Concierge team can also stock the home with food and drink (for a small fee) so you can begin your vacation as soon as you arrive. They can also set up all of your excursions and acquire your rental vehicle if so desired so you can just relax and enjoy your time in the Bay Islands while they take care of your every need.
