Bring the whole family, including your furry friends, to this great place with lots of room for relaxation. Jubilee Cottage is situated in the family seaside resort of Dawlish with a sandy beach and all amenities within easy reach, making this the perfect getaway. It is minutes from the high street. The closest shop and pub are only 100m away and the beach is just a 5 minute walk. We are dog and child friendly and the cottage offers the perfect base for dog lovers or families to explore South Devon. The cottage comfortably sleeps up to four adults and there is a travel cot available on request. The cottage comprises: Ground Floor: Living room: With comfortable sofas, games cupboard and Freeview Smart TV. Kitchen diner: With dining table, electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine. First Floor: Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed, dressing table, fitted wardrobes and Freeview Smart TV. Bedroom 2: With zip and link super kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request), dressing table, fitted wardrobes and Freeview Smart TV. Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet. Outside: Pretty, enclosed courtyard garden with table and chairs. There is also a retractable clothes line. Parking: There is limited on street parking and two paid public car parks less than 0.2 miles from property Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, potty, step, toddler seat, highchair and stairgate available on request. Please note: There are two steps to enter the property and two steps into the garden. Perfect place for a stay in dawlish. Pretty much 5minute walk or less to restaurants, shops, bakery, takeaways and pub. Very child friendly. The extra bits like travel cot, high chair, toddler toilet seat, and toddler bed guard were so useful and saved so much room in the boot of our car. Home from home, with everything you need in the kitchen for your stay. The suprise of an easter egg and colouring books when we got there was a big hit with my daughter. Street parking was very busy but we were able to pull up outside house to unpack car and used a cheap public car park which was a 10 minute stroll. Would definitely book again
We had a lovely stay at Jubilee Cottage - Emma was a great host & helped with any issues we had. The house was more spacious than the pictures showed, in our opinion, which was fantastic - we would definitely recommend.
Beautiful house just around the corner from the centre of town. We spent a great weekend there. The kitchen and the rest of the house were perfectly kitted out with everything we could need.
Lovely little house to stay in. Close to centre of Dawlish. Smelt lovely throughout, all clean and tidy. Loved the welcome extras, cream tea and eggs for kids along with colouring books etc.. dogs also taken care of with bowls, treats, poo bags, etc. I slept well which i often struggle with when away. Was a bit of late night noise as close to a pub and takeaway but didnt worry us to much. Loved the stair gates to stop dogs wandering upstairs and throw for the sofa for them to sit with us. Only things id have liked would be a 2nd throw so both sofas can be covered for dogs. A washing mashine id always prefer over a dishwasher but as only away for 3 nights it wasnt too much of a worry and there is a launderette close by. I also like drawers to put clothes away in when away but these are just personal preferences as plenty of wardrobe space in both room's. Shower was great, plenty of power so overall a positive stay and would happily book again. Thanks Emma x

Dawlish is a great seaside town with everything you need to enjoy your holiday. It has an abundance of shops, bars, cafes, takeaways, a theatre, launderette, charming gardens and exciting crazy golf. Why not pack a picnic and soak up the sun at the sandy beach, perfect for swimming, exploring the rock pools and building sandcastles with the younger guests.
The town started life as a little fishing village, and has grown over the years into the quintessential seaside holiday destination. The pretty beach has a backdrop of the red sand stone cliffs that are so associated with the West Country. Another claim to fame is the population of elegant black swans that make their home in the area. The railway line runs directly beside the sea, guaranteeing a scenic arrival should you chose to travel by train.
There is plenty to see and do for all ages. The Dawlish Warren Blue Flag nature reserve and beach is ideally located close to the centre of town. It incorporates mile upon mile of clean, sandy beaches with a delightful wildlife reserve that is packed full of fascinating birds, mammals, insects and reptiles. Go-karting, mini golf and traditional seaside amusements will keep children engaged and amused for hours. Add in the level shopping area and a well-appointed 18-hole golf course and fun for all the family is guaranteed.
The Dawlish carnival in August is a highpoint in the town calendar, attracting visitors from miles around, and the annual Air Show showcases a thrilling array of aircraft that loop and swoop above the spectacular coastline.
Dawlish is famous for its scenic railway route along the sea front, part of the Riviera Line, as seen on the TV programme ‘Coast’. It runs along the coast under the distinctive red cliffs, a few yards from the shoreline and cutting through a series of dramatic tunnels and coves. It runs right along the coast from Exeter to Teignmouth and is well served by national (London to Paignton) and local trains.
All the local resorts are easily accessible by train from Dawlish so you can leave the car at home and enjoy a day out, and stunning scenery, while you travel to Teignmouth, Torquay, Exeter or beyond from Dawlish station.
