The house accommodated our large group well and was especially enjoyable for kids with an abundance of games and books. While it matched the high-level description, attention to detail, especially considering the price, revealed an aging fridge with missing and duct-taped shelves in the kitchen. The utensils were either mismatched or broken. A heads-up about spiders and webs in common areas like sinks and walkways would have been appreciated, given potential gaps between renters. The location was fantastic, and it would likely be even better in spring/summer when heat in the bottom floor bedroom isn't an issue. Despite these aspects, it was a generally good stay, though we expected a bit more refinement given the price point.

Check in went well, communication was good. Bed, towels, bathroom are clean. The white fabric couch will appreciate some cleaning but not a deal breaker. Cabin feels cozy, surrounding area is private and quiet. Local host is responsive. Perfect for a family gathering. Overall experience is great and don't mind returning to stay.

This was the perfect house for our group. Plenty of room even if all 7 beds are taken. You can spend time in your room, in the living foom, at the outdoor fire pit, or build a real fire down below the deck. The area is private and peaceful. It’s spacious and had everything we needed. The game room kept us entertained after a day of hiking. Our questions were answered right away and feedback was taken seriously.

What a fantastic lodge! Lovely location in Groveland and wildlife right up to the door. Great bedrooms and loved the games room with a pool table! Nice that gas was ready for outdoor eating and fire to sit around.

The house provided comfortable spaces for our extended family stay. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the outdoor space. We used the house as our base to go into Yosemite several times. The only downside to the stay was that the power went off 4 times in our one week stay. I don’t know how frequently that happens, but be advised. Also there is a step down between the dining and living room space, so that may be a concern for those with mobility challenges. Overall we all enjoyed this house as it provided space for privacy as well as space to gather to cook eat and play. Hosts were kind and responsive.
