Gorgeous unit in Gulfside Place featuring panoramic oceanfront views, 2 bedrooms with a den (King, double beds x 2, and a sleeper sofa respectively). Updated kitchen and bathrooms, with fantastic lanai and new furniture. Amazing resort grade amenities include an Olympic pool, tennis, gym, saunas. Includes ground level storage room with beach gear, fishing poles, and much more! This awesome unit boasts over 1,800 square feet of waterfront living space, situated across two bedrooms, an expansive kitchen, den, and living room. It is by far one of the nicest units in all of Gulfside Place, picked to be the developer's own personal residence! Owned by the developer for more than 30 years and sold just last year, this unit is finally available for a select group of guests to enjoy! Featuring gulf views from almost every room and tucked back far away from the pool and common amenities, guests will feel as if they are staying in a private island oasis, away from the hustle bustle of all life can throw at us. Furthermore, at more than 45 feet wide, this residence features panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico that few ever are lucky enough to enjoy. Featuring a set of four sliders that open from the living room to the 24 foot wide screened lanai, guests can enjoy indoor outdoor living at its best! *Hurricane Ian Update*- Gulfside Place projects that the association will have pools, tennis, grill areas and elevators all working by January of 2024. Please be aware that the association grounds will have active construction occurring on the building board walks, clubhouse, landscaping and other communal elements. The interior of the unit has been completely repaired and suffered little to no damage from Hurricane Ian. There will be an abundance of construction traffic and workers as many units are being rebuilt. The community hallway floors have had carpet removed and are sanded down but are not yet epoxied and that won’t happen until later in 2024. The handrails are still to be replaced so there will likely be temporary handrails in the earlier portion of 2024 until handrails can be permanently replaced.
Trip was cancelled due to Hurricane Ian, but Palmer was responsive to best of ability and was able to aid in receiving full refund. Best wishes to he and his organization on recovery from the devastation.
Hidden Gem… Great Beachfront Condo w/ views & comfort! We stayed for over a month in this 2 bdrm 2nd floor, centrally located unit 215. It’s in the Gulfside Place Condos which are right next to the #1 rated place on Sanibel Island, but Gulfside is a fraction of the price. While the complex has 84 units, most are not being used for the summer, so we had the massive property to ourselves (while guests of neighboring Sundial were very crowded). Owners provided good mattresses, new bathrooms, new Smart TV in Master bedroom, Fully stocked kitchen & a WONDERFUL fully stocked ground floor storage unit, w/ bikes, umbrellas, chairs & everything you could need for the beach. This is also where designated parking space is. Wifi was sketchy at times. The bidet toilet & wifi printer were pleasant & welcome surprises! Palmer, Cat & team were very helpful & responsive property managers. This unit is on the 2nd of 3 floors, so to access the beach, guests go down the elevator or stairs & come around to one of the complexes beach accesses. There are 1st floor units that have stairs directly from their lanai’s. They were doing construction on the beach path directly in front of this unit while we were there, so we had to use the other paths, but once it’s completed, it will be easier to reach the sea. Thankfully the construction didn’t get too loud until we were nearing the end of our stay. This condo complex is directly in the middle of Sanibel Island, on the curve… so the water & shelling aren’t as ideal as either end of the island. That being said, it’s also one of the more private & relaxing stretches of beach w/ less boaters coming to party (which is definitely an issue on Sanibel at times). It depends what you’re looking for. Also note that No-See ums (mosquitoes) are a major problem here, which is why all lanais are screened in. (Bring your Avon Skin so Soft!)
