A self catering holiday cottage / let in Wolsingham, Weardale. Sleeps 6. Dog friendly. Large garden, 2 bedrooms. 15% CHEAPER TO BOOK ON ACACIA HOUSE WOLSINGHAM WEBSITE. Acacia house is clean and spacious. Sleeping up to 6 guests, with a double room, twin room and kingsize sofa bed in the dining room. The dining room can be closed off to the lounge, making it completely private for those using the sofa bed. A travel cot is available for babies. The main bathroom is upstairs, with a large, powerful shower. Downstairs there is a toilet and basin, located in the utility area. For cosy evenings, the lounge has a panoramic log burner, and TV connected to Netflix. A wood store in the rear yard has bags of wood for sale, so you don't need to source them yourself. A utility room provides lots of space for storing bikes, prams, hiking gear etc. The garden is perfect if you want to bring kids and dogs. It is fully enclosed for peace of mind. Sit and relax at the bottom of the garden in the summer house, or eat outside in the gazebo. You can also enjoy using the BBQ in the summer months. If you prefer the comfort of indoors, you can sit in the conservatory which overlooks the garden, and the village green - perfect for watching the world go by and spotting local birds in the garden.

Great little house, only ten minutes to Hamsterley Forest. We had bikes with us so took advantage of the excellent space at the back for storing them. Great easy dog walks from the house too. Loved the log burner and thank you for the teabags, biscuits and milk for when we arrived - they were very much appreciated! Laura was a superb host - not only responding to my messages in advance asking for recommendations for places to eat but when I realised I’d booked the wrong days she happily switched them for me. Thank you again!

Thank you! We loved our stay here. Was brilliant for 6 people and 2 dogs. Although it only has 2 bedrooms. The door into the dining room where the sofa bed is found can be completely shut off creating a 3rd private bedroom. Worked perfectly for 3 couples. Some great walks in the area and lovely place. Couldn’t be beaten on the price, a great find.

Pretty character cottage with lovely garden to front in picturesque village. Surprisingly spacious. Comfortable beds and crisp white bed linen. Fantastic walks nearby.

A gorgeous house in a beautiful location! The house was immaculately clean. Shops, pubs and the local restaurant were a short walk away. The log fire was amazing after a long day walking the dogs. Everything we might have needed was there & had been thought about. We even got a packet of biscuits and treats for the dogs to welcome us. The only downside was only staying 1 night- we wished it was longer! Thank you for an amazing stay Laura, we can’t wait to come back

Wolsingham is the 'gateway' to the dale. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, there's plenty to do here. Walks, hikes, bike rides, mooching, shopping and pub crawls! The property is in the centre of Wolsingham village, so everything's on the doorstep.
The property is just across the road from the river - perfect if you fancy feeding the ducks. In fact, they often come into the garden so you can feed them at the doorstep! The house is also just across the road from demesne picnic area - one of the more popular walks in the village - dog friendly, stepping stones across the river, tarzan swing, and open fields for doggy zoomies.
Wolsingham village has various amenities - convenience store, butchers, bakery, gift shops, library, chinese takeaway, 4 pubs, play park, skatepark, and coffee shop. It is a very welcoming area with a super friendly community.
Local transport includes a train that runs in summer months, and the 'polar express' at Christmas. Local taxis are available, and bus routes run to Durham, Consett, Crook, Bishop Auckland, and further up the dale (Stanhope, St John's Chapel etc).
