Cosy, comfortable cottage with lots of thoughtful touches, including milk in the fridge, snacks and a travel cot with a proper mattress which we appreciated! Cathy was very helpful and responsive, meeting us on arrival to let us in. There was a great little playground with a lovely view, a few minutes walk away, so that was perfect for our toddler. The cottage is on a main road, but we never noticed any noise and were able to park right outside the front door without any trouble. Thanks Cathy for your hospitality 😊

If I could give Cathy's place 6 stars I would. Beautifully decorated extremely thoughtful amenities/inclusions, a well stocked kitchen, warm, and absolutely spotless. We walked up the little hill behind the cottage to a small playground which our daughter loved. The views are beautiful in all directions as well. I was slightly worried about not being able to check in with a keypad/ letting ourselves in, but we were running late after being stuck in traffic and Cathy was very flexible and it was lovely to have someone show us around and answer any questions we had. Thanks again, Cathy! Would absolutely recommend to anyone, especially those with children. Looking forward to coming back one day!

It was a good location because it was close to our family who live a mile away! By choice we didn’t have a car and travelled by rail , Durham station only half an hour away !

Most amazing stay at Cathy’s beautiful cottage. Super helpful beforehand and on arrival with extra special touches, incredible log burner! Thankyou for your hospitality Cathy, definitely one to recommend to friends and family visiting the area. Thankyou! Xxx
