Villa Cypress is close to the Emeryville shopping center/restaurants/movie theaters etc. A few minutes drive to the Bay Bridge which connects to San Francisco. Going to either Berkeley or Oakland from here is just a few minutes drive. Villa Cypress is primarily set up for 2 guests; if you have additional family members visiting, the L shaped sofa in the living room can turn into a queen bed. Bamboo Spa, Tea House & Jacuzzi The Bamboo Spa is a gated garden with bamboo, fruit trees and a variety of flowers; a paved stone path leads to the Bamboo Tea House. In the garden, the 20 jet heated Jacuzzi is always on, features an ozone system that sanitizes constantly and is open 24 hours. Soaking under the stars listening to the sweet night breeze is one of a kind experience! We keep the cover on at all times to preserve the heat. The jacuzzi is shared with 2 cottages and reservation required between 6:00-10:00 PM. (no reservations needed at all other time) THE KITCHEN / DINING AREA We got everything for you to have romantic dinners and feel at home. The full kitchen is equipped with all new and high end amenities: designer coffee machine, stove and oven, microwave, retro design kettle, toaster, dishwasher. Pots & pans, drinkware, silverware and dinner porcelain in cabinets. Work Space + WIFI Villa Cypress features a dedicated working space and 1G fiber optic wifi which allows working from home super easy. BEDROOM: The Bedroom features original artwork - a hand painted golden tree mural on the wall. The queen bed features a Casper Original mattress. Get truly restful sleep here! 55” TV with 150+ digital channels, amazon prime video and Netflix. Nest smart thermostat and brand new heating system. The SONY speakers deliver beautiful sound for the TV and your favorite music. HEATING/ COOLING: we have a new forced air heating system with a smart NEST thermostat in place to keep you warm in the winter months. There's NO AC in Villa Cypress, however, the system has fan only options to keep you cool in the summer months. FIREPLACE: The 50" electric fireplace is our new addition adding romantic atmosphere, festivity and winter warmth! Watching the dancing warm flame with your favorite drinks in the winter months is something special to be shared with your loved ones. THE NEIGHBORHOOD is residential, safe and quite chic; a stroll around the neighborhood appreciating neighbor’s front yards and gardens is always fun. A few blocks away from the Pixar Animation Studio, great restaurants in walking distance, a few minutes drive to the famous Bay Street shopping mall, outlets and movie theaters. 10 minutes drive to downtown Oakland or Berkeley; 5 mins drive from Bay Bridge, San Francisco can be reached in as little as 15 minutes. LAUNDRY Villa Cypress has in-house washer/dryer; we have laundry detergent and iron for you as well. PARKING Safe parking space on property right in front of the cottage by the bird feeders/rose/calla lily bushes. Please note the driveway is narrow. GYM/YOGA ROOM We have a small simple gym at the back of the house; it has a brand new treadmill, yoga mats & exercise balls; a great space to do some cardio, yoga or just sit for some quiet time/meditation. ROSE GARDENS: There are many beautiful roses throughout the property. For rose lovers, here’s a list of our roses. We try to label the names of the roses if you are curious to learn what they are. Note this list might not be complete as we constantly plant new ones; also not all will be blooming at the time when you arrive as roses normally bloom on flushes, but we should always have some roses blooming from late April through December.
