This neighborhood is rural, and although a relatively short drive to town centers, it is down a few miles of dirt road and dirt driveway making it feel incredibly private and isolated. AWD or 4WD is necessary to reach the property in winter. There are neighbors, and Gallina Canyon is a community, there`s just lots of space and rugged terrain in the foothills so homes are not very close together here and tend to be on larger lots.

You will need a car when staying here if you plan to leave the property and go to nearby towns. 4WD/AWD will be necessary to get to the property in winter, and very occasional snow storms from December to March may create issues with access until snow can be cleared from roads. Most snow storms are small and totally manageable with 4WD or AWD with no issue. Call or email a day or so ahead of arrival for current conditions and to plan for your arrival with the manager. If you will not have access to 4WD or AWD between November and April please consider a different accommodation to avoid becoming stranded without cell service. Tow trucks do not generally service dirt road areas. There are some great foot/bike trails in the immediate area that are not advertised. Please inquire for more information.
