The bad first: When we first walked in, we immediately noticed human hair on the ground in the kitchen, ant traps in each room, and a noticeable moldy smell coming from the bed sheets and dog hair on the sheets. Throughout our stay, ants were cruising the kitchen/living room and bathroom. The bedroom was about 6 in wider than the bed itself. The deck (easily the best part of the rental) was awesome, but the one chairs fabric tore when I sat in it the first morning…I messaged the host, who responded later that evening…I was told they would ‘take care’ of the chair, that never happened…and they mentioned that they already knew about the chair before we arrived… The good: the location was awesome, beautiful view, nice deck, relatively quiet (a little road noise), nice bathroom (aside from the ants). This place really should be advertised as a tiny home. I’ve lived in wooded, quiet areas and didn’t deal with ants like this, and the cleaning crew need to be more detail oriented.

Breathtaking views, extremely clean, and an abundance of peace & quiet. This is an ideal place to come for a relaxing weekend getaway. Enjoy a coffee on the balcony while looking out over the Redwood forest vista and watch the fog roll through the trees in the morning air. The venue is situated a short 15 minutes to Santa Cruz, but anything you need is a short drive away. The check-in was very easy and flexible. We had just cancelled another AirBnB that was not what we expected. I was able to book this listing right away and within a half hour we were inside enjoying this private retreat in the sanctuary of the Santa Cruz mountains. We will definitely return to this place in the future, and highly recommend it for anyone wanting to escape.

The view was beautiful. It felt like you were in the middle of no where but it was a 2 minute drive to the grocery store and 10 minutes to the Boardwalk. Very easy check in / check out. Would definitely go back.

Super comfortable and clean. Loved the sound d of the water from below. Driveway is a bit tricky so drive slow.
