Wonderful, peaceful Christmas break in a beautiful location, shame about the weather but that meant that we were able to snuggle down in front of a lovely log fire. The cottage is very warm and cosy. Paul was an attentive host without being intrusive. We will recommend this cottage to friends and family. The duck eggs, homemade jam and Christmas cake were very good.

The Homestead is a fantastic place to stay. Paul met us on arrival and departure at the accommodation, which is set in a peaceful and private location. Spotlessly clean, lovely and warm with everything needed for a great stay. Clear instructions were given regarding which remote control to use for the TV, dvd etc which was very helpful! It had a very comfortable king size bed with good quality soft furnishings throughout. The efficient log burner was used during our stay and more logs were available upon request. It was lovely just to sit and watch the birds either from inside or sat on the verandah. Also, the homemade sponge left for us on arrival was absolutely delicious. We would definitely love to return in the future. Thank you Paul for a wonderful stay.

Excellent communications. Lovely, warm accommodation. Very comfortable bed. Privacy respected but always felt Paul was available if needed.

Even better than the photos. A comfortable very warm peaceful place to stay. Very private, places to relax under cover outside and lots of comfort inside. Very easy parking in front of the homestead styled house. Location is good for North or South coasts. A good place to watch the local wildlife (robins, wrens, a jay, magpies, great tit, blue tits, grey squirrel and other small critters) or to simply sit and relax with a book. A place that we wish to return in the future.
