For the best experience possible, I would like to give you some tips around the town:
♨ The BRUNCH is more important than the lunch ♨
The „brunch” is the most important meal of the day. Start your day with an astonishing meal.
1. Déryné:
I recommend this place before or after visiting the Buda castle, because this café and restaurant is also located in the 1st district. It is only a 10-minute walk from the castle.
(adr. Krisztina tér 3.)
2. Zoska:
Zoska is the archetypical brunch place, where you can eat breakfast till the closing hour. If you want to have a filling and appetizing breakfast with a nice cup of coffee, this place will deliver that experience like no other.
(adr. Ferenczy István utca 28.)
👁 Explore the culture and the best sights 👁
1. Dohány Street Synagogue
The stunning interior design is worth the trip alone, but a visit to the Great Synagogue also aims to guide visitors through the history of Jewish people in Hungary.
The Dohany Synagogue became a World Heritage!
(adr. Dohány utca 2.)
2. Heroes Square
A large square constructed in 1896 for the millennium of the Magyar Conquest of Hungary. The square features the Seven chieftains of the Magyars and other important Hungarian national leaders.
(adr. Heroes Square)
☛ Bars, that don’t ’ruin’ but make your day ☚
1. Szimpla:
Szimpla Kert is one of the best bustling ruin bars in Budapest, and the oldest of them all, with a vibrant atmosphere and eclectic crowds on most nights.
(adr. Kazinczy u. 14.)
2. Hauzol Cafe:
This pub is only 3 minutes away from the apartment, and it is a perfect kick-start for a night-out. This is a classical cheap downtown pub, with a vibrant crowd and tasty cocktails.
(adr. Erzsébet kr.t 26.)
3. Fröcsterasz complex:
Fröccsterasz is a lovely wine bar and dance bar. Among the outdoor places, they have the largest selection of „fröccs” (spritzer) and street food dishes. It is an individualistic, mini party district under the Ferris wheel.
(adr. Erzsébet tér 11-13.)
✈ Travelling by taxi from Liszt Ferenc International Airport to Kertész utca:
Travelling by taxi, the distance between Budapest Airport and the apartment is around 30–45 minutes, depending on the traffic. The airport is in the outskirts of the city, while the apartment is located in the downtown, at the heart of the town.
The price of the taxi trip it is approximately 12.000 HUF - 30 EUR.
If you need help, I can reserve a taxi for your arrival. For this reservation service, I will need the exact time of the landing and the flight number.
The chauffeur of the taxi company will wait for you at the arrival terminal, next to the "Interchange" orange-colored booth, holding a sign with your name on it.
I order taxi from the Hungarian 6x6 Taxi company. The chauffeur checks the exact rout of the flight on flightradar24, so if there is a delay, the driver will know that automatically.
✈ Travelling by public transportation to Kertész utca:
If you want to travel by public transportation, there are two options to choose from. One is the 200E bus and the other one is the airport shuttle bus 100E.
The 200E bus operates between 4:04 (4:04 AM) and 23:04 (11:04 PM) on weekdays and weekends also. After 23:04 you can only take the direct airport shuttle bus no. 100E which operates 24/7, without stopping.
#1 – 200E
After you arrive to the Liszt Ferenc International Airport, you can take the shuttle bus no. 200E. To use this bus, you have to buy a single ticket and also an airport bus extension ticket. The price of the two tickets are 750 HUF - approx. 2 EUR. For the metro and tram, you have to buy two additional single tickets.
The 200E bus goes from the Airport to ’Kőbánya-Kispest’ metro station, where you have to get off from the bus.
After arriving to ’Kőbánya-Kispest’ metro station, get on to the M3 metro in the direction to ’Újpest-központ’, and go 7 stops till you reach ’Corvin negyed’, where you get off the metro.
There you will have to change to tram line no. 4-6 in the direction to ’Széll Kálmán tér’ and go 4 stops, until ’Wesselényi utca / Erzsébet körút’.
After you get off the tram, you will only have to walk 3 minutes to reach the apartment. Follow the same direction of the leaving tram and keep left on the zebra crossing. The street name, that you are walking in, is ’Wesselényi utca’. If you walk on the right side down (on the corner there is a Beerpoint Budapest pub), on the first crossing street turn right and there will be Kertész utca.
*Take into consideration that the last M3 metro leaves ’Kőbánya-Kispest’ metro station at 23:26 (11:26 PM), so if you take the last 200E bus at 23:04 (11:04 PM), you may not reach the metro station in time.
#2 – 100E
From the airport, take the direct airport shuttle bus no. 100E, which only operates between the airport and the city center. If you take this bus, you have to buy an airport shuttle bus single ticket which is 2.200 HUF – Approx. 6 EUR.
For the metro and tram, you have to buy two additional single tickets.
Get off on the first stop called ’Kálvin tér’ and the take the M3 metro in the direction to ’Kőbánya-Kispest', and go 1 stop to ’Corvin negyed’. After that, take tram line no. 4-6 in the direction of ’Széll Kálmán tér’ and go for 4 stops, until ’Wesselényi utca / Erzsébet körút’.
*Take into consideration that the last M3 metro leaves ’Kálvin tér’ metro station at 23:39 (11:39 PM). So after this time, you can not take the metro.
If you travel late at night or early dawn go till the second stop of the 100E bus, called ’Astoria’, and from there you can walk to the apartment located at Kertész utca. It is a 15-minute walk. Budapest is a surprisingly safe town, with multiple CCTV cameras on the streets. Also, Budapest is famous for its nightlife, so there are always plenty of people on the streets, even at nighttime.
自我介绍
I am currently attending to law school to become a criminal defense and a real estate lawyer. In addition to that, I have a ruling passion towards property management. I have lived in Budapest since the day I was born, and I can't even imagine myself living anywhere else. I love meeting new people, and I consider myself a problem solver. Furthermore, I am also a proud owner of a husky mix-breed, who never lets me become lazy. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
