It’s clear that Amberley put a lot of thought into her space. I especially enjoyed all of the local products! The bed, couch, and linens were super comfy! It’s a very inviting space and I’d definitely come back!

I'm originally from Maryland, but I've lived in Albuquerque, NM for the past 24 years. I moved to New Mexico to work on my PhD in literature, taught at UNM for seven years and discovered I was more into renovating houses than the academic life. Since then, I've renovated over 10 historic homes, been a partner in 2 breweries, and raised my daughter. As of 2023, I live part time in Albuquerque and also spend a portion of my time at our new house in Crested Butte, CO, which is also available for short term rental. I started my business HOSTcraft in 2019 because I wanted to add uniquely local and sustainable options to the short term travel market. During covid, we started selling local products in our units, so travelers could still shop even while traditional retail stores were shuttered. We continue to sell products from our favorite artisans in the units and on thehostcraft website. My passion is creating cozy chic, eco-friendly spaces for guests to enjoy. I thoughtfully choose every item in my spaces, weighing function, form, sustainability and beauty. I'm a foodie who loves to shop local, visit markets and festivals, mountain bike, hike, and listen to live music. Please check out my guidebook and ask me for recommendations, so I can fill you in on all of the local gems in my areas. Albuquerque Burque is both my home and somewhere I first experienced as a visitor. Crested Butte CB captivated us when our friends moved there in 2020. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world, filled with world class mountain biking, skiing snowboarding, and fly fishing. The wildflowers are breathtaking and a must see for any nature enthusiast. I've never experienced anything quite so magical as hiking and mountain biking surrounded by waist high flowers of all different varieties and colors. We spent two years designing, building and furnishing the Modern Organic Chalet with travelers in mind. We wanted every room to have it's own bathroom and for there to be a large gathering area to take in the views--all of the things we search for when traveling with friends and family.
