Phil and his wife did a great job making this location awesome! Perfect size for a family of two, especially if you are going to be headed into Big Bend. The park was a little over an hour away (north entrance). The views were spectacular and Marathon was very quiet. We also enjoyed a couple local food spots we had (French Grocer and Big Bend Pizza). This stay was great and we would definitely recommend this spot if you’re coming to Marathon or headed to Big Bend.

The Ocotillo is a fabulous place to stay in Marathon! The rental is super cute and stocked with everything you need. We loved the peaceful surroundings enjoyed from the porch as well as the cowboy tub! The property manager is friendly and responsive. She even brought by a pair of sunglasses that we left behind during our last visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casita Ocotillo. We had everything we needed. It was very comfortable, clean and decorated so nicely! After arriving we decided we really wanted to stay an extra night. Fortunately it was available and Phil responded very quickly to accommodate our request. We would highly reccomend Casita Ocotillo to anyone planning to visit Big Bend National Park.

This very small tiny house was perfect for my needs. I was able to use the small kitchen area to cook a delicious breakfast every morning and enjoy the supplies coffee and breakfast on the deck. The deck provided a west facing view for some great sunsets. The bed and bedding were very comfortable with high quality linens. The heat and ac worked great! I will definitely book here again on my future trips to Marathon!
