Charming stone cottage for up to 3 people in a peaceful part of the Pembrokeshire countryside only 12 minutes drive from the beach and coastal path.The Stables has been modernised to maximise light , space and comfort whilst retaining character . The cottage makes an excellent base to explore the beautiful coastline at any time of year being both light and airy in summer whilst warm and cozy in winter. Although small and compact, the accommodation provides exceptionally comfortable accommodation for up to 3 people . Tastefully decorated in hues of white, grey, and blue with natural materials such as wood, stone, and slate incorporated into the design scheme, the cottage is light and deceptively spacious ( we recently installed additional windows ) Furnishings and fittings have been chosen to maximise comfort. Extra features such as a tapestry welsh blanket, locally designed cushions, pottery, and prints add character and warmth. Directly accessed from the garden the open plan kitchen/ living area sits within a space reaching into the apex of the beamed stable roof. The kitchen is fitted with a range of units containing everything you might need for a short or long stay. There is a large fridge freezer, a washing machine/dryer and dishwasher plus ample cutlery, crockery, glasses, pots, pans and utensils The living area features a wood burning stove, a dining table with four chairs, a large, squashy feather filled sofa and armchair*, TV, Amazon Fire stick , DVD player, shelves stacked with books, maps, DVDs and local information . Extras include a vinyl record player and a Bluetooth speaker with radio. The lighting is operated by dimmers and there are lamps to further create a relaxed and subdued mood. A box of dog blankets is provided. Bedroom 1: Features a king size bed with a quality mattress ,duvet and feather pillows plus a traditional Welsh tapestry blanket for extra warmth. A fitted, full height wardrobe and a large chest of drawers provide ample storage. The room is heated by a large electric radiator. A window opens onto a pretty flower bed. Bedroom 2: Accessed by a very steep, ladder style staircase . Features include two single beds with duvets, feather filled pillows and blankets for extra warmth. There are two small sets of drawers for storage. A dormer window opens onto the communal garden to the rear of the property. A trap door operated by pully opens onto the main living area to connect the space , increase the flow of light and provide privacy as required. *Note that this room is not suitable for people with restricted mobility or small children. For safety reasons we recommend that children under 8 are accompanied at all times. *Bed linen and towels ( including beach towels) are provided *Hypoallergenic/ non feather pillows available on request. Bathroom: Slate tiled bathroom with modern power shower , toilet and basin There is a full length mirror and a large, independently operated radiator to keep the room warm. The cottage is suitable for use all year round. The efficient wood burning stove ensures that the main living space and mezzanine are cosy and the bedroom and bathroom are kept warm by built in electric radiators. There are extra blankets and hot water bottles in case of a particularly cold snap. A basket of logs, kindling and fire lighters will be available on arrival. Outside Space: The Stables opens onto a private gravelled garden /seating area surrounded by flower beds. There is a wooden bench hand built by a local carpenter and a bistro set for 2 . The garden captures the morning and afternoon sun- great for a morning coffee or lunch. The communal lawn behind the property gets the last of the day's sun and is an excellent place to relax and listen to the birds from the comfort of our zero gravity recliners. *Please note that the 'Cloud' sofa is squashy and low slung by design-it won't suit everyone, in particular those with restricted mobility. *Please note that the wood burning stove is the main source of heat. .
