We had a lovely get away weekend at Hockley Riverside Cottage. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and the check in instructions were clear and all went smoothly. We appreciated the welcome gift waiting for us! The cottage is bright and uncluttered and the beds and linens were all very comfortable. The shower is lovely too. The riverside setting is extremely peaceful and we loved being able to open the glass doors completely to fully appreciate it. We enjoyed the fire pit area as well. This is a little gem close to the city and was perfect for our little getaway. Ashley was very prompt in answering our questions ahead of time and provided clear instructions on the fireplace etc and was an excellent host!

The property is great, very modern and comfortable. The location is great if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, the river out behind the house is a lovely place to sit in the morning, and would imagine a BBQ in the summer would be special there. Neighbours are fairly close but we never felt overlooked. We didn’t try going up the ladder, neither of us were brave enough, so I can’t comment on that space. Ashley was very responsive and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed before we arrived.

Loved the place! Out back, it felt private and the river in the backyard was absolutely gorgeous and the fire pit was so much fun. Inside, the projector was super fun for late night movies, the indoor fireplace was amazing and heated the space extremely well. Would recommend and would go back!

Ashley’s place is amazing. It was a very good experience for us. Her place provides the perfect balance of nature wrapped around coziness.The sound of the river with the cool breeze really takes you on a peaceful journey. We just went at wrong time when the spring was not fully here so the tree cover was not as good as in the pictures. Also the other cottages are in very close proximity so dont expect it to be extremely secluded or private. Overall it was a pretty good experience, highly recommended.
