The condo itself was nice, however the listing was very vague about where it is located. It is very far from Playa del Carmen and you NEED to have a car if you decide to stay here. There is no public transportation and you are at the mercy of the taxi drivers to charge whatever they want IF you can even get anyone to come out that far. The host Luz is not the host that I initially booked with and does not speak any English. There was no regular water delivery service and no pump dispenser. I spent a very frustrating hour trying to use a translator app to communicate with a small corner store several miles away to deliver a 5 gallon bottle of water and was charged $175 pesos for it!! Without any dispenser! The host kept telling me that I needed to rent a car but I hadn’t planned on driving in Mexico and hadn’t brought my drivers license with me, so I was stuck out there with no way of getting around at all. Although I had paid for a month, I left after a few days.

When it was checkout time the host required a $2500 pasoes deposit? $175 Canadian deposit CASH ? Still not sure Why and as I was about to leave the country how would she have returned deposit to me in CASH……… I refused and it caused a little tension however I stated that if a deposit was required it should have been requested in agreement. Airbnb system not cash payments should me made outside their platform. Why were asking for one at the end of the stay…… they continued to insist however after a couple on minutes of beck and forth it was dropped and we returned the key. We were off. Please keep eyes wide open for these types of additional hidden charges out the Airbnb platform do not pay…….. this was very un-cool you make very one look bad and not trustworthy in Mexico ….. shame on you. Anyone with questions I have email Proof of the requested $2500.00 deposit demands
