The unit is great. Private and cozy. Enjoyed every minute of a month long stay. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Highly recommend.
Lori and Rich could not have been more accommodating. The space felt like our own private hide away. We would HIGHLY recommend this host to others!
I was given the impression that the apartment’s heat was controlled via the electric portable fireplace in the living area by one of the hosts. However, it was confirmed later by the second host that the heat was controlled in the main house by the hosts. The apartment is in the basement and it was winter in WNY. My family was cold the first 24 hours until this was sorted out. After that, the temperature improved. In the future I would make that clear with the renters in the check in instructions. Other than that, the location and amenities were great and allowed us to spend time with local family and friends.

Lori was a fantastic host! Instructions on how to access the apartment were very clear which was appreciated for our late night arrival. She was fast to respond to questions throughout our stay and even offered to pick us up from the Bills game. Would recommend for anyone visiting East Aurora!

We are your hosts for your stay and this is our family home. We are excited to welcome you. As a host for the past 29 years, this may be one of the most noble things we can do. In a world where there is a lot of division, hostility, and cynicism, being able to welcome people into an environment we’ve created for them and doing so without prejudice, judgment, and hopefully learning from and sharing with others —is an incredible experience. If only more host stories could be told to counterbalance the more cynical view that we take on the world, we’d be better off. That’s what we came away with in this whole journey and even more now. My children have been given an opportunity to learn and exchange culture at a very young age; even extended family and school community participated as some of our guests taught in the school. We believe this helped guide our children and community to a better understanding to life and multicultural differences yet we all learned, grew, and benefited from our relationships formed. It wasn’t my intent to better myself, but I really do feel like we have benefited more. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything. We hope you enjoy your stay!
