lovely working farm with cottages. there is a huge indoor play barn for children, and a large area outside with slides.my children loved seeing the sheep, pigs and cows on the farm. the view from the duck pond decking is lovely. owners lovely and approachable, sorted us out with local tips, fresh eggs from their tea room and happy to help. would go again

Had a fab 3 nights here. House was perfect and spotless. Made use of the lovely tearoom on site for afternoon tea and a delicious breakfast. You can also buy eggs, bacon and sausages from the shop to cook with too. Also had a chance to feed the lambs which our son loved!! Thank you!

The cottage is exactly as listed and with a lovely view. It's got fabulous central heating and lots of hot water. It is beautifully furnished and sparkling clean. The location is secluded but with easy access to Scarborough and Whitby for supermarkets and the dramatic coast and sandy beaches. The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is within easy reach and so is the North York Moors Railway. Fabulous walks from the farm or just a short drive away. The animals on the farm were a delight and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Mark was on hand if we needed him but we didn't and we would be very happy to stay here again as there's so much to see and do in this part of the world. Our dog was made very welcome and the resident dogs were friendly. The one way glass in the windows in the downstairs rooms is an inspired choice so we felt very private.

Had a cracking time at the farm. Mark was very helpful in the lead up and provided plenty of info to help us on our way. The listing doesn't really do justice to the experience of staying on the farm, and the amenities provided on site - all were better than we expected. Perfect place for a young family to enjoy all that happens on the farm. We hope to come back up when the weather is a bit drier and warmer :)

Mark and team have clearly put years of experience into their new cottages. 'Cowslip', the cottage where we stayed, is decorated to a very high standard, was warm for Autumn and well-equipped in all rooms. These cottages represent excellent value for money and being located on a working farm surrounded by the foothills of the North Yorkshire Moors is a great experience (though I'm biased as a Yorkshire ex-pat gone south). We didn't sample the food on site but the restaurant and shop seemed busy which is a good sign. We had a query with the hot water when we arrived and our hosts were very quick to help us out with it. Overall our hosts were friendly and welcoming but subtle enough just to let you do your own thing. Great for couples, families or escaping by yourself. I wouldn't think twice about booking if we stay in the area again.
