This is the perfect cabin if you are looking for a peaceful retreat with a river in the backyard. Very pet friendly too!

This was a great location with the river just a short walk down a hill behind the home or around on the street. Either way was easy with 4 kids ages 4 through 6 in tow. The home was clean and cozy. Kitchen was small but well stocked with dishes & spices. Beds were ok, probably just a personal preference for liking it less firm. There was a window AC unit in the kitchen and dining room at the back of the home, not in any of the bedrooms. During our stay, temps were high 70-80’s so we utilized the AC and they kept the downstairs comfortable. The loft upstairs however never got very cool, either with the AC units on during the day or opening all 4 windows at night. The upstairs could benefit from a separate unit for hotter months. We even brought our own fans in addition to the 2 provided. The proximity to the river was perfect for fishing all day and letting the kids splash in the river where it was more shallow. 4 adults and 4 kids all had fun and would return again!

I took my small family up for a peaceful weekend get away and it was everything we hoped. We only went into town once to pick up groceries, but otherwise had everything we needed. The space has easy access to the River and we went fishing and hunting for geodes. During the rest of the time, we relaxed, cooked outside and had a small fire in the fire pit at night. Lloyd and Judy were great and attentive to our needs before, during and after our stay. Absolutely would recommend and plan to go again soon!

Cool location next to the river. Comfortable house. Loved watching the deer and the gecko. The weather could have been nicer, but we still got to take a nice walk along the river. No complaints!

This cabin and land is magical. Our entire family felt rejuvenated and refreshed after exploring the river around the cabin. All of the comforts of home in the cabin, even including fishing poles and a tackle box! I highly recommend this sweet getaway retreat.
