The Atchafalaya Suite is tucked away in the front north wing of the main house. It offers a stunning view of the front yard. This suite includes a full private bathroom and is decorated in blue green venetian plaster walls with blue and gold designer bedding. A plush queen size bed includes sumptuous linens which assures our guests a restful stay. The room includes a flat screen TV with DVD player, FREE cable & Wireless Internet, TV cabinet, Coffee & Tea Bar, many room sundries, ironing board, iron, hair dryer, writing desk, hardwood floors, ceiling fan, and much more. Chocolates are always a nice surprise! Local rack cards of local places of interest are included in the room. Wake up to a delicious full 7 course Cajun breakfast served with coffee and juice. If you're really into the basics, we have a selection of cereals or bagels. The bedroom suite includes a full private bathroom plus sitting area. It is decorated with relaxing blue green, gold and copper Venetian plaster walls and designer Michael Amini bedding. The rooms include a 32" TV with DVD player, FREE cable & Wireless Internet, TV, kuierg coffee pot, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, shampoo & Conditioner, additional toiletries, clothes hamper, ceiling fan plus additional linen, blankets and sheets. Chocolates and Wine may be a surprise! There are additional Guest Suites for rent in the north wing that will accommodate more guests. A home-made 6 course breakfast is cooked and served daily. The menu changes each day. Note that if you are traveling with outside pets, we do have a large kennel for your pet. Just let us know and we'll make arrangements for you.

My only complaint is that the pool that was listed has been filled in and is not there. Other than that the room was comfortable and clean with privacy and nice furnishings!
Such an amazing experience staying at Cajun Mansion that we decided to stay one more night. Sandra is a lovely host and all her staff was extremely kind. We loved the atchafayala room especially. Everything is well decorated and very tidy. The breakfasts are great and the pool area is also very enjoyable. You are sure to have a great stay when visiting Cajun Mansion and we would gladly recommend to any of our friends.
Un petit coin de paradis ! Une maison magnifique délicieusement meublée, des chambres confortables et belles avec tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin : eau, machine à café, dressing, matelas moelleux, tv, dvd, radio. Nous avons également profité de la belle piscine avec bonheur. De plus, un petit déjeuner délicieux, dont les spécialités de Sandra comme les fraises "à la petite crème" et les fameuses "petites patates douces". Enfin, Sandra s'est montrée très accueillante tout en restant discrète lors de notre séjour. Un endroit à ne surtout pas manquer si vous visitez la Louisiane !

There are restaurants, taverns / bars, workout facilities, fast food, donut shops, grocery stores, gift stores, shopping and even smoothies just 1 mile away. Youngsville has become known as the happiest place to live, work and raise a family. You'll be in the heart of Southern Cajun Country where you are just minutes away from everything important. Most Cajun Places of interest are widely located from Breaux Bridge, New Iberia, Lafayette, Eunice areas. You will be centrally located in all directions. Just south enough to be closer to New Iberia area than Lafayette. It will take you just as long to travel from Lafayette to Breaux Bridge or Eunice as it will be travel from the Mansion in Youngsville. Life truly is sweeter in the City of Youngsville. Sugar Cane farming has been a way of life for many years in this quaint city and even though Youngsville has become known for growing at such a rapid pace, our strong cultural heritage remains true to this day.
There is no public transit. Car rental places are just minutes away and they would even deliver a car to you. Uber is available.

Hello AirB&B Traveler! I'm excited that you are considering my home in your travels. I was born and raised in a Cajun environment where family, friends and food was so important. It was very common to have English and French conversations going on at the same time in our home while I was growing up. Meeting people and learning about their experiences is what I enjoy most. I am an open minded, fun loving and enthusiastic host who has extensive knowledge of local culture and the Acadiana region. I love music, dancing, laughing, and creating things. Mardi Gras and Christmas is my most favorite time of year. Being involved in a Womens Mardi Gras Krewe, it seems like we celebrate Mardi Gras many months through the year. You'll be in the heart of Cajun country and I look forward to help you setup tours or provide you with the information you need. You'll get to taste authentic foods like boudin, cracklins, sauce picante, gumbo, etoufee and/or jambalya right here in my kitchen if you choose! I guess you can say we're empty nesters! My home is elegant, comfortable, clean and is a very calm retreat. Your guest suite is totally on the opposite side of the house on the North Wing. I promise to strive to make your stay experience memorable and comfortable; but most of all..... I will respect your privacy.
