The house itself is beautiful and in a great location, but there were hair clumps in the sheets and on the floors, and the towels were wet on arrival. The coffee pot was missing, the carbon monoxide and fire alarms were not functioning and/or missing entirely, and there were no dishwasher pods. We were stuck in the cabin during a dangerous winter storm, and we received no communication or assistance from Vacasa. This would be a great place with better management

The place is not as described, when we arrived around 7:30 PM , place has not been cleaned , cleaners finally arrived that evening and tried to “rush” clean the place , running the washer to wash the bedding and no hot water to take a shower that evening. The dishwasher is full of dirty dishes with no detergent pods , we asked Vacasa staff to deliver , it took them 2 days (keep in mind, we stayed for only 4 nights) Considering the prices Vacasa charged , it’s cheaper to get 2 hotel rooms for 4 nights in peak times (between Christmas and NYE) very disappointing. Place is not maintained well, I’d be disappointed if I were the property owner trusting Vacasa; the place needs maintenance, the utensils in drawer have food stains, even though Vacasa staff responded, their response is not very helpful, “someone will get back to you regarding dishwasher detergent pod” or “someone will reach out” for the premium price and cleaning fee they charged, I expect more (at the minimum, clean it !)

This is a great cabin and easily accommodated 6 adults, a toddler and a pet dog. Location was perfect midway between north and South Lake Tahoe and minutes from the lake for beautiful views. I only wish that it was better equipped with basics for cooking like coffee powder (there's coffee maker but no coffee) etc. Beware.. almost everything edible in that kitchen was expired.. back in 2021 or so. I suggest they remove the expired items and restock basics. It would be of great help especially since things aren't as accessible to go out and buy, and would make cooking easier. Other than that, a great place indeed!
