The perfect base for touring the Cabot Trail, Maple Cottage is a beautiful, comfortable, newly finished traditional cabin with bathroom, kitchen, bedroom/lounge with queen bed, and patio doors to private deck with barbecue. Parking right outside, yet steps from forest trails. Heating/cooling via brand new heat pump. Willow Retreat has stunning dark sky views due to our unique location; ideal for time-lapse photography & drones. We have private hiking trails for guests. Willow Retreat is an off-grid eco-retreat set in 28 acres, 3 kms off the Cabot Trail down a private road. Maple Cottage is our full housekeeping cabin, with 3 piece bathroom, stainless steel European kitchen, and lounge/bedroom. All bedding and towels are provided, as well as a toaster, kettle and coffee maker. The cottage also has a heat pump, super fast wi-fi and a private deck with barbecue. You have your own parking space right outside the door.

This off-the-grid Airbnb was the perfect fall getaway! It was peaceful and surrounded by nature. The cabin itself was clean and had everything we needed! Wish we could’ve stayed an extra night :)

Anne’s place was a great spot to decompress after a very rainy day. The cabin is secluded and quiet, and very clean as everything is brand new! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back!

My boyfriend and I loved our stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed for the couple days we stayed and was a very cute, privet place to stay! Anne was great to answer any questions we had in a timely manner and was very friendly throughout the process. We would definitely recommend it to others and even visit again in the future!

We're on the world-famous Cabot Trail in the village of Middle River. The village was founded in 1806 and covers a wide rambling rural area, however there are no shops or restaurants! The nearest shopping is in Baddeck, a 25 minute drive away. There you will find small boutique style shops, excellent dining, as well as banks, and a grocery, pharmacy, liquor and hardware store. Baddeck is the gateway to the Bras D'or Lakes. If you enjoy fishing, you can either stay right here and fish Middle River (world renowned trout fishing) or head up the Trail to the Margaree Salmon Pools.

You will have a reserved parking space right outside Maple Cottage for the duration of your stay. We are 3.5 kms (2 miles) up a private gravel lane from the Cabot Trail. The Village of Baddeck is 25 minutes away, with shopping and restaurants, and plenty of parking. The Cabot Trail itself is a world-famous drive, it will take you about 4 hours to complete its entire 298 kms!
