This was exactly what I needed. This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for me it couldn't have been better. For those who are looking to get away to the back woods for a peaceful retreat This is the place. Tom's place is a bit of a cross between an upscale cabin (not a chalet) and a European hostel. I rented a private room which was cozy , but there was also the option of getting a bunk in the room that was set up to host up to 4 people in the group/ hostel room. I was the only guest there so even if I had gone with the bunk room I would have still had the house to myself. The property was amazing with many trails to keep you occupied , and even better I had the fortune of using the new wood fired sauna that Tom just built on the property. For those coming to spend time at Prayer Mountain (as I was) its about a 25 min drive to PM , or The Gathering, and about 20 minute into Wilksboro. For the price you honestly can't beat it. If I get the opportunity I certainly will return

perfect for a quick or long term stay. Tom was very accommodating of our late night arrival.

The location was secluded on a gorgeous property! It was so relaxing! I met Tom and he was very nice. The directions listed was 100% accurate! The views were stunning, especially during this autumn season! The bed was comfortable. I slept like a baby. I would stay here again. Thank you.

My daughter and I did a wilderness getaway and this was the perfect place! Not only was the location perfect, it was clean and easy to find. Mr Tom went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend!
