Ayampe is considered a place to rest.
The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, in the surroundings there is a UPC, medical dispensary, other hostels, shops, pharmacies, restaurants and places to do yoga, spa, take surf lessons and other entertainment and sports activities.

Note: If you need banks, you must go to Puerto López or Montañita.

Ayampe is a small town and you can walk to all places.
If you want to move to the mountains (upper part) or to the "the cabins" sector, you can travel by bicycle, by car or take a taxi that are at the entrance of the town.
If you want to go to other towns, there is a bus stop and locals that offer taxi service at the main entrance of Ayampe.
- Montañita is 30 minutes away.
- Olón is 25 minutes away.
- Puerto López 15 minutes away. Puerto López is the closest place to buy groceries when your stay is long, the nearest main bus terminal to move you to other places and the nearest hospital.
- Manta is the nearest airport that is approximately 2H00 hours by car to the north! Or in Guayaquil which is 3H00 hours away.
Buses run every 15 - 20 minutes.
