If you want to feel truly inspired by a new surrounding, this room has it all: a big lounge sofa that serves perfectly as a place to let your mind wander away, a lot of sunlight, a view that will spark your creativity and of course the floor. Part of it exists of the original rocks of the hilltop Alma do Paço was built on: there's no way to escape the soulful heritage of our place!

Me and ma friend would always come back, it is a lovely and very unique location in the middle of nature and very kind hosts !
A dreamy, romantic and peaceful stay. The buildings were full of character, history and quirkiness, whilst being super photogenic and a great place to chill. We had NO idea to expect such a beautiful Airbnb as we booked based on price and convenience, and we both agree we got the best surprise when we realised we were staying in an artist-converted, 600 year old Chapel. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us, the location was great, and the place itself can only really be fully appreciated by visiting yourself. I was half inclined to not be honest in this review, as we are genuinely worried about how popular this place is going to get and we can say we will be visiting again without a doubt.
Chapi, Caroline y Yarni (no se como se escribe correctamente) siempre fueron muy amables y atentxs. La verdad que la estancia fabulosa y para repetir. Es un lugar mágico, muy acogedor y tranquilo, que con el cariño que le dan aumenta mucho el valor del espacio y la estancia. Sin duda agradecerles mucho su atención y me encantaría repetir siempre que este por Ericeira, Sant Isodoro.

Hands down, my top pick for a guesthouse in Santo Isadora and the surrounding area. You can’t beat the genuine hospitality of the hosts nor the charm (and history) of the place, even if you tried! Felt right at home from minute one. Can’t wait to return, especially for Fado night and other evening events in the castle. Muito obrigada, beijos, and see you soon!!

Alma do Paço is a beautifully restored guesthouse with Portuguese national heritage. With original features dating back to as far as the 14th century, Alma do Paço used to act as a holiday refuge for the (then) King of Portugal. What has remained are the spectacular ruins, as well as the original chapel, nowadays loved by people from all walks of life. Think for example wedding couples- who hold their ceremonies amongst the ruins - or - yogi's who love to meditate in the peaceful surroundings of the chapel. If you, however, are 'just' looking for a place to call home for your holidays.. Don't worry, we've got a spot by our unique, one of a kind plunge pool reserved for you! Alma do Paço consists of 6 'casas', all very different in size and layout. But what they all have in common is the same cosy & comfortable style, energy and eye for detail. You can opt for a private room - perfect for the solo traveller, a romantic double room - some even with the luxury of your own terrace - or - why not book a family room so you can bring your friends & family! Whichever one you choose; all casas have their own bathroom and some even have a private terrace. Oh and don't forget, a delicious breakfast is always included in the room rate! At Alma do Paço, you can walk to the beach, enjoy a yoga class from our in-house certified instructor or indulge in a relaxing massage by our licensed masseuse. During the day you'll always be welcome in our chapel, quietly check up on your emails or simply for a cup of coffee. At night we will light up the firepit in the ruins area, which honestly is the perfect spot to read a book, stargaze or gather with your friends and a glass of wine. We have a wide range of activities available which you can book at our reception, and are very happy to recommend you the best local restaurants. Of course you can park for free at the property, we always reserve parking spots for all our guests. For group bookings we can even offer catering options upon request!
