Loved the place it is gorgeous and would love to stay here in future when it’s warmer if some problems are resolved. The plumbing between the toilet and shower is connected so water comes up through shower drain when you flush and we experienced a sulphuric smell whilst showering. Also unfortunately a group of cockroaches was discovered in the night time moving out from behind the cupboards, unsure where they came from as we kept all windows sealed. Overall a nice place and would love to potentially come back though had to leave within the first day of a two night trip and no compensation from the owner. Their reason for refusal of a partial refund was cleaning fees, which are listed at $40 compared to the $150 per night fee (in our rush to leave we left a few dirty dishes, some hair in the shower and toilet paper outside used to throw cockroach outside).

The Herald Island Honey tiny home was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so beautiful, brand new with everything we needed to a relaxing stay. The Island is so lovely to walk or bike around and so close to Auckland. We had dinner by the beach as the tide was in and saw the sunset, it was magic. We would love to stay again in the summer when we can try out the kayaks. Thanks for a lovely stay. Gay

Cozy and small - wonderful stay! The decor is stunning! The space has a really lovely feel. The location is fantastic, although not super private - but we didn’t mind! Would highly recommend!
