Whilst this compact cottage is perfect for a family of 4, it is a gorgeous spot for a couple to retreat from the busy mainstream life. A gem of a place to rest, relax, regroup! Crisp linen & cosy blankets. Lawn and shade. The patio looks out to the small dam, kyaks and tubes available for guest use. A perfect unpretentious country hideaway! This endearing cottage is a quiet and peaceful spot tucked out of sight from the main house - Barn Owl Cottage, country living with some industrial touches. Set in a scenic agricultural community with views onto the local mountain ranges, & back dropped by the southern Drakensberg. Some distance from supermarkets, only a couple of restaurants in the immediate area, with these factors in mind the cottage is fully equipped for self catering stays, adapted for load shedding. The fireplace in the lounge warms up the open plan living area beautifully on chilly winters evenings. Off the lounge/kitchen is bedroom 1 with two ¾ beds. Bedroom 1 leads into bedroom 2 which has a queen bed and full ensuite. (Please note the ensuite in bedroom 2 is shared by bedroom 1) A neat little veranda with table and chairs is ideal to enjoy the country views of surrounding mountains and neighbouring beef farm lands. Off the veranda is a great amount of lawned area for kids to stretch out on. The small dam is about 50m away. Child friendly kayaks are available to enjoy, as well as a few tubes to float on. Young families are requested to please bring suitable life jackets! You will find a selection of board games to enjoy as a family including monopoly, uno, marble solitaire and others. cell reception is not always great. Vodacom seems to be the strongest.
