This cottage is a fantastic find. The pictures on Airbnb are accurate - you will listen to the surf against the rocks and be able to enjoy being outdoors or on the sun porch from sunrise to sunset. The cottage itself is well set up with lovely furnishings, and the kitchen is the best equipped one I've ever had in a rental. We loved our stay and hope to go back again next year.

This was a fantastic getaway with family. Location is fantastic and you cannot get any closer to the ocean. It’s also walking distance to a couple of restaurants. Donna answered all of our questions before the trip. We enjoyed cooking lobsters in the kitchen and then sitting out by the fire and sipping wine. The cottage is cozy and picturesque. Thank you!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! When doing a review, this is not one of the choices, but it should be. This is what we liked best about The Artist's Box - we wanted to be right on the water, and boy were we ever! It was heaven, being lulled to sleep at night by the waves crashing against the rocks and the daytime panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, lobster boats and Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. The cottage is lovely and just as described. It's quite comfortable and is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The sun porch is delightful, and even though a couple mornings were chilly, the sun warmed it up in no time. The outdoor firepit, which we used twice, was a nice bonus. The owners provide a notebook full of information about the area including dining, activities and points of interest, which we found very helpful. We didn't want to leave!!!

What a gem! The view from the Artist's Box is so breathtakingly spectacular we were blown away. We enjoyed falling asleep to the rhythmic sounds of the Atlantic and sipping a cup of coffee on the sun porch each morning while soaking in the view of Pemaquid Lighthouse. My family enjoyed a beautiful week over the 4th of July. The house is impeccably clean, well-stocked, and attractively decorated. From the lovely garden out front to the delightful fire pit overlooking the ocean, the house is well maintained and makes you feel immediately at home. I have traveled all over the world and this is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to fall in love with the rugged beauty of the coast of Maine.
