This recently renovated modern split level apartment is part of an historic building in the heart of the attractive market town of Beccles, a short walk from a multitude of activities. Formerly a 19th-century gentry residence, it offers olde world charm mixed with modern amenities with Twyfords Cafe serving great homemade food conveniently on the ground floor. Pubs, restaurants, shops, boating on the river and outdoor lido on the doorstep. Excellent coastal walks a 20-minute drive. Shown in the main image as the four windows to the right above Twyfords Cafe, the accommodation comprises: Period ground floor entrance door with stairs up to hallway with door to fully equipped modern kitchen area with full-size cooker, hob, microwave, washing machine with combined tumble dryer, freezer and all-important dishwasher. Living area with comfy sofa-bed (sleeping 2), large screen TV and fold-away dining table and chairs. Stairs up to spacious bedroom with views over the town and countryside and bathroom with 'P' shaped bath with over bath shower and heated towel rail/radiator.
Great apartment in the heart of Beccles. Nice and clean and had everything you need for a weekend stay. Will definitely be returning.
Beccles itself is full of character and has something for everyone including a regular Friday market. Plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops are all on the doorstep with the town's most popular cafe just downstairs - once an old tailor's shop by the name of 'Frank Fosters'. Twyfords Cafe is perfect for a good breakfast, lunch or even afternoon tea with a great range of homemade cakes. Take advantage of their great takeaway menu if you want to take a picnic down to the quaint local quay to sit and watch the boats cruise by along the river. There's also Beccles Lido - a popular outdoor swimming pool that's open all year round - within walking distance. From here you can also catch the Black Dog Ferry to Geldeston Locks which makes for a great day out.

The coast at Kessingland offering excellent coastal walks is less than 20 minutes' drive with the stunning blue flag beach and popular town of Southwold not much further.
