The location of the apartment is great. Very close to the old city center where you find loads of restaurant and bars opportunities, and sense the lively spirit of the heart of the city. But if you want the Provencial charm of Nice to also correspond with the place you are staying, I cannot reccomend the apartment. Like too many air bnb places it is clear, that it is a bussiness for the owner who lives somewhere else, and dont put much attention to creating a cosy atmosphere. Both the decoration, furniture and the equipment of the place (for example there was only 1 wine glas and we were a couple) is poor and sterile, and completely without the understanding of how to make guests feel like home. The host was friendly, but she was too focused on giving us restrictions at our arrival - like remembering us to bring down the garbage, to stay attention with hair in the drain, to not use more than the towels she put out etc. Even the toiletpaper was restricted. There was left one half roll, and we were told that if we needed more, we could go and buy ourselves. It was an akward way to be welcommed, like we were kids and not adults (we are perfectly able to handle a place with respect), and definately not gave us the feeling of being comfortable or at home (despite what the host writes in her personal description). Before Nice we had an amazing time in Aix en Provence in an apartment that was REAL air bnb. The place had the personal and friendly touch from the people living there, which was exactly the thing missing in Nice.

Cute and clean flat in a quiet area 20 minutes on foot from the city centre and the seafront. We used the bikes despite there are different bus station very close to the house. The flat is surrounded by markets, bakery, restaurants, cafè... so it does not seem you are too far from the centre. Just one cons... you have to do more than 70 stairs to get the flat! However, we had the change to burn the calories of all the delicious baguette we eat! :)

Appartement superbe, très bien situé. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. Une hôte agréable qui a su nous conseiller pour nos sorties restos et plage. :)

Niet helemaal,de buurt was Riquer!
