Extremely quiet & peaceful hill country get-away. Nice older main house, cozy but actually more spacious than it looks from the outside, and the separate casita is very comfortable and updated. Love that 4 out of 5 beds are kings - and all very comfortable, with nice linens & pillows. Plenty of good outdoor sitting spaces for lots of people - rocking chairs on front porch, table & chairs on stone patio, hammock under huge oak tree (hope oak wilt doesn't ever get it!). Really enjoyed the stone fireplace and hot tub (which was clean and well maintained). I asked if firewood was provided & the company said no, so we brought our own. Turns out there is a TON of firewood stacked around the property, probably from so many dead trees due to oak wilt :( Don't know if the owners want it used, but if so, would have been nice to have known cuz it really crowded our car. As said, it's a "get-away" - be aware it's 13 miles outside of F'burg & the nearest grocery store and NOTHING in between.

This place was the perfect family getaway to ring in the new year. Most of the family stayed in the main house and my boyfriend and I stayed in Mimi's Cottage. Both houses were very clean. All linens from the towels to the bed sheets smelled fresh and relaxing. The TV's were easy to use and so were all the kitchen appliances. The property was the perfect location to town, not too close but not too far. We all agreed we would stay here again!

What a beautiful house and property! We absolutely loved our stay. The location was perfect and the sunsets were amazing. We would definitely stay here again. Every time we needed a dish or utensil or small appliance, it was right there. The outdoor setup was just lovely. Mimi’s House was gorgeous and perfectly placed. Only small issue was that the common room bed is actually just a couch and we could not find any sheets to make it up. But we combined some bedding from other rooms and made it work. The teenage boy who slept there was fine with it. Such an amazing place for a big family to all come together and enjoy playing games and having big family meals together. Thank you to our hosts. We will be coming back!

The house and patio area was everything we hoped it would be. It is just like the pictures.... beautiful! We cooked most meals and everything we needed was in the kitchen. We ran out of time before we made it down to the Perdernales so maybe next time!
