John was the ultimate host. Gave recommendations on where to walk and some history of the surrounding area. He was responsive to requests from our party and the location was beautiful.

What a wonderfully comfortable house in an idyllic location! Was perfect for our family reunion, more than enough space for the 8 of us. The toy room and trampoline were a big hit with the little ones and the gorgeous walks perfect for soaking up the fresh country air. We all loved seeing the sheep and their little lambs and enjoyed regular visits from the cat (a life-saver for the children who were all missing their cats dearly). We were able to go shopping in Mullingar( only 15 mins away) and get the basics in nearby Castlepollard. Both John and Clarissa were excellent hosts, allowing us privacy but always available when needed. We would go again in a heartbeat!

this beautiful home is even nicer than the photos and the lake access is really something special (about a 5-minute walk down a gentle slope to the water which is easy to access and beautiful to swim in). almost everything that you could possibly need is there and it's a lovely place to visit with the group. phone reception and Wi-Fi are not good here though so if you need to work or be connected it's not ideal but it's great if you want to disconnect.

The rural property was absolutely stunning. The view of the lake was breathtaking. We felt welcome and cozy as soon as we checked in. We only stayed a few nights and already had visions of returning for longer in the warmer months to swim in the lake. We had a chance to walk the nature trails on site and see the start of the spring landscape. We enjoyed the selection of books and toys and board games available. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay.
