mickey was the most welcoming host we have experienced he was amazing with our children and was beyond helpful to our family, was so homely and we felt comfortable the whole stay. the house is a beautiful and has absolutely everything we needed during our stay, he even let our kids go onto his farm and see the cows which they loved it was an unforgettable experience

Mickey was warm, welcoming and very accommodating. The fridge was full of food on arrival and bread and biscuits on the side which was extremely generous. I got a puncture on a road nearby and Mickey came to the rescue within minutes. An absolute fabulous host. Would highly recommend and will also be returning to stay here on our next visit. Thank you Mickey for everything.

Home was as described, it’s attached to his house but the host respects privacy. For longer stays, the price is unbeatable. Groceries are a 7 minute drive, Mullingar (a proper city that has shopping centers, cafes, etc.) is 30 minutes, and Dublin’s only a little over an hour (all by car, you’ll need one here). Neighborhood was as you’d expect rural Ireland to be; peaceful and quiet with the smell of fresh air. The fridge was stocked with groceries before our arrival and the host accommodated our dietary restrictions, which was very thoughtful. Mickey is very down-to-earth and kind. We accidentally lost a key and broke a vase (probably shouldn’t expose ourselves) but he was not bothered by it in the least, and we appreciate that. He let us pet the cows and was always greeting us when he saw us and chatting away. Cats everywhere, probably 13. Overall, it was a great pleasure. Thank you.

Mickey’s place is a special find. Mickey, as a host, goes above and beyond and without a doubt he is the best host I’ve had with any rental property, Airbnb or otherwise. He had generously stocked the kitchen with some essential provisions prior to my arrival. He was kind enough to check in on me and make sure I was doing ok or ask if I needed anything. He gave me a tour of Hilltown and Fore and highlighted sights I should see in the area. Above all though, my fondest memories will include the evenings we spent at the pub. Thank you, Mickey, for your hospitality and entertainment. I will definitely be visiting again.
