Fabulous fun, quirky cottage with good Wifi/work. The cottage is bright and cosy with a constant supply of hot water. Bathroom with a walk-in shower, beside the 2 bedrooms, one with a 5ft bed and the other has a 4ft6 double. The cottage is priced for 2 people 1 bedroom if the additional bedroom is required there is an additional charge. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and a wonderful dining area to enjoy a home cooked meal. The cottage is set is a rural area close to Lough Sheelin. Bright and spacious newly renovated cottage close to Ross Castle and within a couple of minutes walk to Lough Sheelin. This Cottage is really cosy with its environmentally efficient air to water heating system.

This place was perfect for a quiet weekend away. It is a beautiful Cottage that has been tastefully restored. It looked just like the pictures and matched the description 100%. Jackie was very proactive and helpful in ensuring we arrived and access the house ok. Would 100% recommend
We absolutely fell in love with The Tea Rose Cottage, the interior design is beautiful and the cottage is well stocked for a nice relaxing getaway. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet with plenty of things to go see and do! From checking in, our Host Jackie was great from being so welcoming to showing us around the stunning Ross Castle which is located at the top of the private lane. We both have had the best time for our anniversary at the Tea Rose Cottage and can’t wait to get back! Thank You again for everything Jackie! 😊💕
Jackie is a fantastic host and was in touch prior to our visit and available to assist during our stay. We had some issues with the heating and Jackie responded very quickly to help us out with this matter. We really appreciated this. The house is very clean and cosy with lots of firewood for the stove, a bright open kitchen and dining and sitting room with lovely quirky decor. The beds are comfortable and the peace and quiet is wonderful. The house was decorated for Christmas and when we arrived, we were greeted by the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree, making sure that our family including our kids felt very welcome and really enjoyed our stay over Christmas!

Love staying here, it’s away from the world and a total spot to disconnect from the stresses of life. The cottage is stunning and so cozy. Host is so helpful and responses straight away. On a clear night you can see every star which is an added bonus for any star gazers. Can’t wait for my next stay. Modern, clean and homely escape in countryside

We are in a rural area enjoying the rolling country side of Co Meath and on the border of Co Cavan. There is no public transport passing the cottage. It is a beautiful quiet area to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are a short walk down the lane to the lake for swimming and fishing. Ross Equestrian centre is the next farm on the road for horse back riding both indoor for rainy days or trails enjoying the beautiful countryside. Mullaghmeen Forest is within 5 mins drive, there are 3 hiking trails for all abilities. Loughrew Cairns and gardens, Fore Abbey and Tullyanally Castle are all a short drive from the cottage. Causey farm and Tayto Park are close enough to drive to for childrens entertainment.
We are in a rural area, there is no public transport close by. There is plenty of room for 3/4 cars to park at the cottage.

I am a Mum to two grown children, my husband Richard and I run an organic farm growing Oats and Beef on the shores of Lough Sheelin in County Cavan and Meath. I am also a part time interior designer and love to dabble in antiques. Running Ross Castle is something I love to do as I get to meet wonderful people from all over the world. I really enjoy cooking and often cook for my guests . Couldn't live without clean air, countryside, family and fun company.
