Wonderful spot away from it all with superb hosts and delicious food. Lint Mill is a hidden gem (literally, you cant see it from the road) and a perfect place to escape to for R and R. And cake. Check out the nosey peacock who tries to listen to your dinnertime conversations. He aslo guarded the car for us. Nice one x

The Lint Mill is a lovely wee place squirrelled away in the picturesque Lanark countryside - a small-holding farm with gorgeous views, and plenty of animals to befriend. The B&B itself occupies one half of the house, spread across two floors, and was incredibly warm, comfortable and welcoming. Colin and Deborah were absolutely lovely, making us feel immediately at home as they gave us the grand tour (despite some mild confusion about where we had journeyed from!). There's a selection of breakfasts available, served at a breakfast time of your choosing, and both of our choices were delicious; featuring produce either sourced directly from the small-holding, or from local businesses and farms. Also, the shower is *amazing* - let it never be underestimated how much a great shower can really pull a place together. Perhaps the only criticism we could offer is that if you don't have a car, it's a little tricky getting to and from the mill; however there are lots of local taxi companies who were incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, whilst we didn't get to spend as much time exploring the place as we might've liked thanks to the purpose of our trip, what we did get to experience was outstanding, and we'd heartily recommend staying at this wonderful, wonderful place.

Three nights at one of the best places I have ever been to. I am impressed! Lovely place with beautiful surroundings. Colin is a master chef & bread baker. Vegetarian evening meals was no problem for him and he inspired me to get the same cook book :) Deborah drove me to places of interest and showed me around their well looked after little farm. It was 4 star all the way - I had two rooms to myself and was served excellent food. Having no car was not a problem. Deborah picked me up from the Edinburgh train. It is only a 40 min. trip. The stay gave me energy, inspiration and new found friends. Thank you!

I got a very warm welcome from the sympathetic couple Deborah and Colin. The place has a good ambience and would be especially romantic for a couple. There is an extensive choice on the breakfast menu. Meals are served in the heated glass veranda. The adjacent main room has a nice living space with a wood stove and a grand piano. Upstairs is a delightful sleeping space adjacent to a well functioning bathroom. The couple did all their best to make my stay pleasant. There are many interesting possibilities for tours in the surrounding. I did enjoy the Dawyck Botanical Garden and the surreal garden of Ian Hamilton Finley.
