STEPS TO THE MARINA DISTRICT! Welcome to "The Octagon House". Built in 1860 for Jeremiah Schellinger, this designated historic home in the City of Cape May has been beautifully decorated and restored, offering three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. This unique place has a style all its own - a historic exterior and a modern interior. Through the front entrance, you will be greeted with a large living room, with a plush couch and TV to put your feet up and relax. This room leads into the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen features floor to ceiling cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and farm house sink. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook and the dining area is set up for 6 people. There is a door off the kitchen that leads you to the back yard, and outdoor dining area. The first floor spa bathroom is complete with walk-in tile and glass shower, claw foot tub and lock off bathroom with a bidet. Upstairs are the three guest bedrooms. The first bedroom features a king sized bed and sitting area and a walk in closet. The second bedroom is tucked down private hallway and is complete with a queen sized bed, and a wardrobe. The third bedroom is complete with sitting area, desk, walk in closet and a queen sized bed. The bathroom upstairs has been fully updated and features a tiled standing shower with sliding glass door. The home will be complete with mattress covers, duvet insert and pillows. For summer week-long rentals, please bring your own blankets, and bed linens. Short term stays (3-5 days) - we will provide linens for the beds. Outside in the back yard, there are four Adirondack chairs, an outdoor shower and games for everyone to enjoy. There is a 6 person outdoor dining area with a grill. There is parking for 3 cars in the driveway. This home does provide 6 beach tags, 6 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, and 6 beach towels. Enjoy front porch seating as well on a Victorian styled porch. We are pet friendly (small fee applied). The Octagon House is situated across the street from Cape May Harbor you'll enjoy the harbor breeze and you can take a stroll to anyone of the following popular restaurants within minutes, including the Lobster House, Lucky Bones, Brine, Vintage BYOB, Mayer's Tavern, or C-View located at South Jersey Marina.
