Staying here was one of the best experiences of my life! I booked Angela's place at random as I had the option to work remotely, so I thought why not Italy next to the beach? It was the luckiest choice I could have made. I ended up staying for almost 4 months. The flat is perfect! Sparkling clean, everything you could possibly need for long term stays, very quiet, supermarkets close by, local pizzeria 1 min away, which makes probably the best pizza in Italy. 2 mins walk you'll find a local café where you can get a soya cappuccino for 1.5 euros, then cross the street and you're on the beach. Formia is beautiful. A small town with beautiful old buildings and cobbled streets, flowers everywhere, the sea on one side, gorgeous mountains on the other side - It's a magical place. You can be in Rome in 1 hour (if you take the intercity) or 1.5 hours (if you take the regional train). With a 14 euro ticket you can take a day trip to Rome and it includes all public transport. It's 1 hour away from Naples. It's also really nice to visit all the small nearby towns along the coast like Gaeta and Sperlonga. And something else that made my stay here so wonderful was Angela and her daughter, Sara. They always went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcome. Whatever I asked they would immediately respond and try to help, even with stuff for my work.
