Home was exactly as advertised. It was very nice and spacious. Very close to downtown Salem and we were able to walk easily to downtown for all the festivities. Plenty of room for the 7 of us to move around without getting into each others way. The yard was gorgeous. While we would absolutely recommend renting from Jay and would do so again in the future I do think it’s important to know what you are putting your hard earned money towards. Under no fault but my own, I had my hopes up for a more home away from home feel. I had expressed it was a family Halloween trip and we had never been to Salem before. There was no “Welcome” station with maps and suggestions like other places we have been. No extra blankets, we had to park one car on the road even though we were told we had 2 parking spots, no coffee maker, we had no clue how to get the tv to work and because it was so open and empty we felt like we didn’t belong. Again at no fault to the owners it was just our expectations.

Jay place was perfect for what our group needed for our Halloween weekend in Salem. We were a quick 15 min walk from downtown. The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless.

We had such a great time in Salem! This listing was very close to a lot of fun things to do (literally blocks away from Max and Dani’s house from Hocus Pocus), but we were far enough away from things to have peace and quiet to recharge before getting back to our busy itineraries. Definitely recommend staying here.

This place was adorable! Was perfect for our small bachelorette group. We’re in our mid 30s so beds are important- very comfy! I tend to prefer houses that are actually lived in at some point because they feel homier. This was that space! Backyard is beautiful and was lovely to have a hot tub. It’s walkable into town - about a 15 minute walk. Honestly this place is perfect, cozy and the price was great. We will seek this spot out if we return soon!
