自我介绍

Hello, I am Margreta Suting and I currently live in Shillong my home town. I am married to a former Indian Diplomat and have two grown up Children. It has been 17 years since I have been away, following my husband where his job took him and having to trot certain parts of the globe with him. I have covered countries from Mexico to Pakistan, Switzerland, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Germany and USA. It is has been pretty back breaking moving around every three to two years, but at the same time most rewarding and wonderful in many ways. Travelling is a great teacher. There was so much to learn about new cultures and lifestyles, meet new people, taste new cuisines and to open up to new insights and widen one’s outlook on life. Memories are made and treasured. Professionally, I am a Food Technologist, but I never got to work in any food industry, instead I began teaching in college. And as I shifted around to many cities I began teaching children in school. I love being with young minds. They can be a handful but totally adorable and in return learn a lot from them too! When situations arose when I could not teach, I would focus on my hobbies like Art, Ikebana, pottery making, dancing, cooking and music. I also love to socialize, organize parties, picnics and sing-song evenings! My favorite pass time is spending time with Nature. Bonding with nature and animals keeps you healthy and I live by this motto. My other passion in life is to help the needy. I have done many charity works in Durban and Harare and worked first hand with Children of HIV/ Aids, many who were orphans. I organized events to raise money to enable them to have better lives. I was also involved in Mother Teresa’s home for the aged in Harare. I also support a few charity homes based in New Delhi like Mobile crèche, Patna, school for the deaf and dumb etc. All this achieved by the help of a group of lady supporters that I work with. It is truly satisfying to the spirit and to the Soul. It makes life more wonderful! I look forward to hosting you and making your Airbnb experience as memorable as it can be :)
