Welcome to Forest Edge Cottage - the perfect place to relax as a family. Sitting on a no-through road which leads into the forest, we are in a fantastic location to explore the outdoors. There are plenty of woodland walks straight from the doorstep and the New Forest itself is a 5 minute drive away. The sandy beaches of Bournemouth and Christchurch are 40 minutes in the car. Our peaceful setting boasts stunning views so come and unwind in the countryside. The back door leads into a spacious boot room with plenty of storage for coats and shoes and leads to the first downstairs toilet. From the boot room you will enter the large family kitchen with ample dining space, including a dining table and breakfast bar. It is fully equipped with all you will need for your stay. Large bifold doors lead onto the patio and garden. Here you can dine outside in the south-facing garden while enjoying the beautiful views and the horses and deer in the fields which surround the house. Nestled in the corner of the kitchen is a football table to enjoy at your leisure. From the kitchen you enter the study area and on to the family snug with a wood burning stove. In the dresser you will find children’s colouring/drawing and board games for the children or family fun. There is a TV with the apps Netflix, Disney+ and Now TV (you will need your own login to use these). The porch and front door lead from the snug. The second downstairs toilet is under the stairs and there is a utility room at the end of the hallway where you will find a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs you will find 4 bedrooms, two have double beds (one with an en-suite) two have single high sleepers. Our 9 and 11-year old boys love the the high sleepers, but if they are a little high for you, there is a fold-out chair bed in both rooms which you can use instead, or you can use for a second child in each room. There are plenty of books, both for children and adults, for you to use during your stay. The family bathroom has a toilet, bath and seperate shower. There is also a towel rail and airing cupboard which heat up with the hot water. The front of the house has a large gravel driveway.
