The apartment was ok but not really suitable for 6+ adults. Yulya however was a nice person and was trying to help whenever she could.
Everything was great and we had a lovely stay! Thanks you for everything. Communication was great with host. Apartment was perfect for enjoying the city.
Très bon emplacement mais manque d’une petite table et chaises pour manger, pas d’éclairage vers les lits (type lampe de chevet), rideau chambre du fond cassé. Pourrait être amélioré par rapport au prix
Just a five-minute walk down the Damrak from Centraal Station takes you into this jam-packed square, jostling with locals and tourists day and night. Whatever the weather, there is always something going on.
With the Jordaan and Nine streets at a walking distance of just 3 minutes the apartment is close to the Anne Frank museum.
There are food stalls, restaurants and shopping malls, including the trendy Bijenkorf and Magna Plaza. And the Amsterdam Diamond Centre. Such is the popularity of Dam Square that you might even have to wait for a seat at one of the many cafe's and bars.
But without doubt, of all the attractions in Dam Square, Royal Palace (Koninklijk Palace) is quite literally the jewel in the crown. Although no longer home to the Dutch Royal family, this grand 17th century building is still used to hold official receptions. Opposite the Royal Palace you will see the Hotel Krasnapolsky. Other must-sees in Dam Square are Madame Tussauds, the world famous wax works museum, the New Church (Nieuwe Kerk) often used for important art exhibitions and Beurs van Berlage, an old stock exchange building now used as a concert hall and an exhibition space (located behind the Bijenkorf departement store).
On the south side of Dam Square stands the controversially phallic National Memorial statue, built in the memory of Dutch soldiers and members of the resistance who died in World War 2. Unveiled in 1956, the monument stores soil from all of Netherlands provinces as well as from the Dutch East Indies. And if you go to the back of the obelisk tower, you'll find the provinces' crests.
De 9 Straatjes (The 9 Streets)
The quaint and quirky streets that straddle Amsterdam’s grandest canals form the city’s most photogenic micro-neighbourhood. Known to locals as De Negen Straatjes or ‘The Nine Streets’, this special neighbourhood is full to bursting with vintage and designer shopping, speciality stores and cosy cafés.
from Schiphol airport in amsterdam, or any other airport/Train station: just take a train to Amsterdam Central station From there its a 4 Min walk.
