The Point of View cabin was a unique experience, a rare find in Johannesburg. The host and co-host were very friendly, helpful, patient and very easy to communicate with. We found the house with great ease. To mine and my partners surprise we were met with a hike up the stairs to the cabin passing the clean blue waters of the pool and the inviting warmth of the hot tub. Unfortunately we did not get the opportunity to enjoy both features. The cabin was neat and clean and we found ourselves engulfed in the serenity of the environment. The sunrises and sunsets were the highlight of our stay at the cabin.
we enjoyed our stay. kids loved swimming pool and was looking forward to hot tub (unfortunately our stay was short, we did not get a chance to use hot tub). the stairs we were a bit of challenge when moving around with the little one. Letani assisted with luggage. The location was just perfect.
Things To Do In And Around Glenvista:
Gold Reef City Theme Park and Gold Reef City Casino
Gold Reef City is home to one of Johannesburg’s top attractions. The theme park is one of the biggest in South Africa and will transport you to the gold rush era. Themed on the gold rush of the Witwatersrand from the late 1800’s that led to the establishment of Johannesburg, Gold Reef City is a Johannesburg family favourite with the theme park boasting an array of Africa’s tallest, biggest and fastest thrill rides, tamer family rides, 4D theatre and a fascinating mine museum with an underground mine tour – Gold Reef City Theme Park is unsurprisingly one of the most popular amusement parks in the country.

Klipriversberg Nature Reserve and Hiking Trails
It is the largest proclaimed nature reserve in the Johannesburg Metropolitan area (Over 700 ha. in extent) and boasts a surprising diversity ranging from larger game such as zebra, red hartebeest, and black wildebeest, to many items of botanical, geological, archaeological, historical and cultural interest. The Reserve is rated by many as a birding hotspot. Despite not having any wetlands of significance, more than 215 bird species have been identified. Hiking is the main activity in the Reserve. The hiking trails are scenic and vary in distance and in degree of difficulty. A three hour hike along the flatter areas can be completed by most people who can manage three hours of shopping. The steeper, hilly areas can be testing for even the fit.
