We had an excellent stay at Polharrow. Margaret is a fantastic host, she very kindly provided us with some basic supplies and some tasty treats. The house itself was wonderful and cosy, the downstairs is all on one level which was perfect for my elderly grandfather. Margaret also provided some bathroom aids for him. The kitchen had plenty of utensils to cook with. The wood burning stove was a favourite with the stormy weather outside. The garden was excellent for our two labradors to run around and very secure. We would definitely come again, thank you for a wonderful stay.

we loved every minute of our stay. the gardens are secure and beautiful, it has a home from home. We loved the little touches from Margaret such as milk, bread, butter etc, really helped when arriving. The location is beautiful, words do not describe the views. Absolutely would recommend this house.

Margaret is a great host - she was willing to work with us to accommodate our plans which included working around flights from Canada! Margaret always responded quickly and offered us the flexibility we needed which we really appreciated. The house is spacious and well equipped and maintained. We loved the secluded location and made good use of the outside space as the weather was kind to us - plenty of garden furniture and outdoor games to use as well. The conservatory is a lovely bright room and the living room which we learned was a former school room was cosy in the evening. It was great to have the log burner in the to heat the living room quickly at night. Margaret left food essentials for us (milk, butter, bread and local cake and biscuits!) and a folder with detailed info about the house and local services. Thank you so much for making us so welcome.

The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home. The location was perfect, an easy drive to all the places we wanted to see. Margaret went the extra mile and provided some milk etc to get us started. Communication was great too. We would highly recommend this wonderful cottage. Thank you!
