Our stay in The Lodge was perfect. It is in an idyllic setting with a wonderful outlook across the estate and it is equipped to the highest standard. The owners really have thought of everything. The property is so well laid out with two "wings" of bedroom accommodation opening into a large central living space which makes a great social hub for guests. Everyone around the estate was so friendly and extended a warm welcome, making us feel very much at home.

Gavin and Georgina were great. This house was perfect for our annual family getaway. So good that we are planning to rebook for next year. The pictures don’t do the place justice. The space is great and the decor is simply stunning. The windows allow a lot of natural light and you’re surrounded by pure nature. The bedrooms are clean and there’s a lot of storage in each room. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable. Every bathroom was very clean and spacious. The water was hot and we had no issues with the hot water running low. The thermostat was in the hallway near the back bedrooms and it heated the house pretty quickly. The fire in the living area kept the house cosy too. There was something to do for everyone, indoors and outdoors. The weather was not the best when we got there but that doesn’t stop you. It’s all about the correct clothing. We paid for the farm experience which was brilliant, the kids were helping with the animals. Loads of walking places and outdoor space.

Absolutely beautiful house! Even better than in the photos. Lovely host family. We stayed for the weekend with our grown up children and granddaughter and all had the best time! Would love to return in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at The Lodge and felt right at home immediately. The Lodge was immaculately presented, clean, and although modern and airy, still felt very homely. Views from the front rooms were stunning and the back of the Lodge looked onto the garden, which had a fantastic wood-fired hot tub. The beds were very comfy and bedrooms really quiet and dark at night - everyone slept really well! We loved the open-plan living/dining/kitchen as it meant that we could still all be social even if members of the group were doing different things, e.g. cooking. The living area was also perfect for movie nights, with comfy sofas and a huge TV. The owners were lovely, very responsive via messages, helped us track down a lost Tesco van, and gave us directions for a hike in the local area. I really couldn't recommend the Lodge more - we were on a girls holiday but it would also really suit families or multiple couples. Thank you again for a wonderful stay - we miss it already!

As a grown up family of seven, we all enjoyed the fabulous accommodation, with plenty of space to enjoy being together and then be by ourselves. The views are spectacular and Gavin (the host)could not have been more welcoming or made us feel more comfortable. We would love to go back to the Lodge and would highly recommend it. Thank you Gavin!
