I think you can find better places for the money. Didn’t feel homey at all to us; the toilet was dirty when we arrived; the second bed was partly broken so that one of our group was basically sleeping in a hollow; and there was only a thin sheet on the beds when we arrived and we had to search for duvets and put covers on those ourselves (which smelled a bit musty). The location was good but we wouldn’t stay here again.

Incredible price for the location! We walked five minutes to the metro and could arrive at all the DC hot spots within minutes. We got so much more out of our entire trip because of the proximity! Hosts were so helpful with questions, very responsive when we asked anything. Do make sure you read details for parking. Permits require printing ahead of time, which were clearly detailed in her instructions. I just overlooked and had to scurry to find a print shop, which host graciously helped find one close by. Darling street with flower lined trees, excellent sleep after full days of sightseeing, and truly wonderful stay right in the heart of the city! Thank you for everything!

May’s place was great for parking. My boyfriend and I live in separate states and frequent DC as a place to meet up and hang out for the weekend. Being able to park both cars without paying upwards of $100s was great. As for the apartment itself, feels pretty dated and slightly crusty. Compared to other prices and places in DC i guess the price is reasonable. But theres stains and rust in bathroom shower, the washcloths provided were old and had stains. Also there was no non slip mat in the shower tub which is needed. Kitchen fridge also had stains and overall everything was yellowing and dust on the baseboards. No central heat or AC so it was too cold to stay in the living room with TV, but the room with the heater had no TV. Also had a friendly spider (daddy long leg) greeting us in the living room when we got there. It was fine to stay here for a night and we definitely got what we needed out of it, a place to sleep! But for those who prefer nicer amenities, this may not be it.

I have stayed in many places on Air BNB and this one lacks quite a bit. The positive side is the host is very nice and responsive. The appliances need updating, the bathroom needs updating and a plug for the bathtub, the shower head needs to be replaced. For the price we paid I was highly disappointed. It was hard to find and difficult to get a parking spot. Thankfully someone who lived near by gave us directions. It was freezing and the heater provided can only really heat one room. The bed in the living room is broken and cannot be pulled out all the way. The people upstairs are LOUD, stomping and scooting chairs across the floor in the early hours and as soon as we’re about the leave someone knocks on the door to remind us not to smoke in the building and none of us smoke. I wouldn’t say it’s horrible, but personally would not stay here again.

My family and I just had a 2 night stay at Mays place and we really enjoyed it. It was perfect for our time in the city. They were attentive to any and all questions.
