This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 story home is situated on the edge of the open range in the charming village of Galisteo. From the cozy living room and bedrooms you can enjoy the beauty of Cerro Pelon, the Ortiz Mountains, and the Galisteo Basin. 25 minutes to Santa Fe, 15 minutes to Madrid and Cerillos, and less then an hour to Albuquerque, this house is centrally located to many NM treasures, including Tent Rocks, El Rancho de las Golondrinas, Las Vegas, Taos, and Los Alamos. Two story, free-standing home. First level kitchen, living room with seating for 6. Floor to ceiling windows, breakfast nook, full bath, bedroom with a queen sized bed and laundry. Second floor master bedroom with aa queen sized bed. a full sized bathroom, loft space, access to the rooftop patio with seating.

This stay was perfect. The house has everything you need. Quiet and convenient to everything. Loved Hita, the sweet dog, the most! She was so super friendly and made us miss our farm and animals. Mike was nice and personable, too. He shared so much history of the place with us. We really enjoyed this stay in New Mexico. Really underrated and absolutely breathtaking!
A wonderful getaway with beautiful views. You're off the beaten path but within 15 minutes of a grocery store and places to eat. The house is very comfortable, internet is fast enough to get your work done. The TVs are a bit older so casting was a little spotty, but we weren't there for TV watching! The best part was being able to walk the dog behind the property and have privacy! Blind dog on property is super sweet and does his job very well! We chose the upstairs bed with the firmer mattress but the downstairs mattress is nice and soft if that appeals to you! Lots of kitchen amenities and very easy to cook! Would be happy to stay here again!
El Tenque Viejo 4 was a long term stay for us. We had just closed on our house near Denver and arrived the next day. When I originally booked, we didn't know how long it would take us to find a new place to call home in Santa Fe. We were beyond exhausted and frazzled when we pulled in. We had two dogs, house plants, and items the movers could not take. We walked into the Casita and were grateful to call it home. The kitchen is very functional, in fact on our first night, we made polenta from scratch, with a chipotle sauce, and roasted veggies. The beds are super comfortable and the views are amazing. We walked our dogs every day through an area with trails right next to the casita. When we took the dogs out at night, to the east, a wall of stars greated us. Hita, the ranch dog, is super sweet and got along with our girls well. Mike and Kevin were wonderful to chat with and very helpful. Happy to call this place home and we highly recommend. Galisteo is a treasure.
This was a great place. Felt right at home, kids loved the horses and the doggy. It’s a bit hard to get it to the right temp through the house. But other than that we had a great holiday here.
I can’t begin to describe how beautiful this area is. House was perfect for our needs! We will definitely be back when visiting our son. Thank you
