Offering a spacious family home close to the beach (less than 10 minute stroll) with easy access to the town of Great Yarmouth, the Norfolk Broads and the city of Norwich. There is off-road parking at the front of the property and a garden at the rear in which you can relax and perhaps fire up the barbecue. There are shops, restaurants and cafés within walking distance, plus a cinema. For families with young children there is Pop’s Meadow close by which offers rides and entertainment. The house was built in 1880 and is one of a pair originally owned by families connected with the fishing industry. There is a wide passageway between the two houses which gave access to the troll carts that were used to carry the nets through to the Beatster’s House for mending. This wooden building still stands in the garden of the house next door and is of historical interest locally. The house is modern in decor but not “trendy”. My aim has always been to have a comfortable home. The three bedrooms are a good size and even the smallest of the three easily accommodates two single beds. The lounge is a good sized family room and there is also a separate dining room with table and chairs for up to eight diners. The kitchen has a breakfast bar with four stools. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine. The back garden is partly paved and partly laid out to flower beds which are well tended in the summer months.

Great, spacious house. Barbara was a lovely host and showed us around on arrival. Super stocked with things like milk, bread, hand wash etc, which is always appreciated. Close to Morrisons and Gorleston seafront. We would happily stay again 😊

Barbara was very friendly and informative and thoughtful, she was there to greet us on our arrival and explain to us everything we needed to know and asked, the house was very well equipped and homely and well positioned for the beach which our 8 year old granddaughter loved and all other amenities , we all enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay with Barbara again.

Barbara's house is a welcoming home from home. It was comfortable, really clean, and by far, the most well equipped place we have ever stayed. The house has parking, is close to all local amenities and in really good location for getting to Hopton, Hemsby, Great Yarmouth and further afield. If you want a relaxing break by the Norfolk coast, I'd recommend staying here.

Barbara is a lovely host, the property is very well appointed and nice touches with items in the fridge on arrival. The dishwasher was a bonus when self catering. All round very comfortable stay and in walking distance from a fantastic beach. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful home, large rooms, fully equipped, beautiful garden, everything spotless. Barbara is more than a Super Host nothing is too much trouble. Despite the weather it was a fantastic holiday, 3 small grandchildren loved every minute. Would definitely recommend. Many Thanks.
